Enjoy one week in Rangeley, Maine in a secluded mountain cabin. The cabin sleeps 10-12 people. Located close to Rangeley Lake, use the complimentary golf cart to drive to the lake access to fish or just enjoy the view. Just south of Cross Village, this Lake Michigan cabin sits on a sandy beach situated at the waters edge in a quiet, natural setting.  Enjoy miles of sandy shoreline, a vast expanse of water, lakeside dining, and starlit nights.  Wake to the soothing sound of waves lapping on the shore away from cell phones or cable TV.  Ideal for naturalists, cyclists, families, couples, or you and a few friends. Catch up on reading, writing, sunrise yoga, or cycling back roads.  Walk, bike or canoe to the village.  Bring your own windsurfer, kayak or small sailboat (rentals nearby).  Sandy public beaches with a small boat launch can be found in Cross Village and Sturgeon Bay at the south end of Wilderness State Park. 

A large, furnished kitchen with a view of the lake is available for meals.  Dining or carry-out is available in or near Cross Village at the Cross Village Gas Station, The Fish, Moose Jaw Junction, Douglas Lake Bar & Steak House, or famous Legs Inn (with music and dancing on Sunday Nights). Cross Village also is home to Three Pines Studio, an art gallery which also offers workshops that are ideal for a week long vacation. 

Explore Wilderness State Park a short drive up the shore.  Nearby are day excursions by ferry to Mackinac Island and Beaver Island.  Enjoy a lighthouse tour by boat.  Golf, tennis, performing arts, shopping, and dining is available in Harbor Springs, Petoskey, Cheboygan, and Mackinaw City.  The Upper Peninsula is within a half hours drive.  Visit the locks of Sault St Marie, or the Taquanemon Water Falls.  Winter activities include snowshoeing, ice skating, cross country skiing, downhill skiing, sledding, or hiking.  There are snowmobile trails everywhere and the Service Station in Paradise, Michigan in the Upper Peninsula rents snowmobiles by the day.  Downhill skiing is less than 30 minutes away at Boyne Highlands, or Nubs Nob where you can also find groomed cross country trails.
